Plan

Landscape Architect and Blowing Rock School parent Ron Cutlip (http://cutlipgolfdesign.com/) has taken inspiration from students’ playground drawings and created a beautiful new playground design. The plan preserves recently acquired playground structures; replaces some very old structures with a large, central playground structure; eliminates numerous safety issues; and takes advantage of a previously unused hill by converting it to an amphitheater. What a wonderful, fun and safe playground this will provide for Blowing Rock students who use the playground on virtually every school day in which it is not freezing cold or raining! The amphitheater provides a glorius new place for outdoor education and performances and the roofed picnic structure has been expanded. This playground rejuvenation will provide Blowing Rock School students with a first class playground and outdoor education area.
