Thanks to all those who helped with the Thanksgiving Meal Project

The 2022 Thanksgiving Meal project was a huge success with BRCares handing out 48 meals to families in Watauga County. The pantry was thrilled to give our clients options for their holiday meal of either a turkey or a ham, fresh produce, milk, butter, rolls, vegetables, and a choice of pie. This year we received donations and assistance from Publix and High Country Food Hub, as well as members of the community who donated food as well as assisted in handing out and delivering the dinners to our clients.‍ Blowing Rock Cares also was able to hand out new winter coats, hats and gloves to the clients who requested them. We look forward to our next Holiday Project – Christmas Dinner.
